A tribute to the United States Marine Corps, the USMC ULTRA RUCK ON (UURO) is a ruck / birthday celebration. You will Ruck your way through hollowed cities, enroute to a final long, hard push to the Iwo Jima War Memorial in Arlington VA.  Don't be mistaken, this Ruck is intense but fun, after all its really a birthday celebration.

USMC ULTRA RUCK ON - AKA UURO, founded in 2011 by S.E.R.E. Performance and the "Founding Few" is a celebration of the USMC Birthday that involves deep levels of team building, individual fortitude and overall an "EPIC" time, you don't have to be a Marine, or a veteran, you simply have to understand the breed, and have the desire to do something great

In 2011, the team Rucked 180 miles in just over 80 hours, they finished their mission, completing the Ultra Ruck at the Iwo Jima Memorial
on the morning of November 10, 2011. With tears in their eyes and fuel in their souls, the founding few will forever share a bond many will never realize.

2012 will be just as epic, except smarter and somewhat harder... 230+ miles, "Trek'd" in 60+ hours, visiting hallowed cities, on the planned mission route to Iwo Jima, then onto Arlington National Cemetery. This will be a fun, dynamic event, traversed in a unique way, honoring both the Corps and celebrating its birthday.

Taking a different route and method then 2011, you will embark with the Founder of SERE and members of the Founding Few as they begin their journey at 8 pm in Philly (Tunn Tavern) paying respects to the birthplace of the Marine Corps, you will begin your ruck in Philly seeing key parts of the city before stepping on provided transportation and moved to Gettysburg PA.  Arriving in Gettysburg at the early morning hours of 11.9.12, you will pick up your Ruck and hike an epic route through Gettysburg before boarding back on the bus and moving to Harpers Ferry, WV.  Upon Arrival in Harper Ferry, you will once again pick up your Ruck, and leaver the transportation behind as you commence a long, fast and hard 60+ mile Ruck over the Appalachian Trail, and into Washington DC, finishing the mission as a team at the Iwo Jima Memorial then onto Arlington National Cemetery.
